Looking for Help?

If you are seeking information about Safe Place services, check out our Support Services or contact us at (517) 355-1100 or noabuse@msu.edu

We are located on the campus of Michigan State University and serve students, faculty, staff, their spouses/partners as well as non-affiliated members of Ingham County.

If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

We are very concerned about safety. MSU Safe Place advocates can help survivors of relationship violence or stalking to evaluate their situation and create an individualized safety plan based on an assessment of the current situation. Advocates can also assist with the process of requesting a Personal Protection Order or other protective measures, if a survivor chooses to do so. To access support, call (517) 355-1100. Visit our Safety Information page for more resources.

Safe Place provides a number of services, including counseling, support groups, advocacy and shelter, to people who have experienced, or are experiencing, an abusive or controlling relationship or stalking.  You can reach out to us at (517) 355-1100 or noabuse@msu.edu. Our staff can talk with you about the support you are seeking and the options available to you. Additionally, support is available via our Crisis Chat.  Visit our Crisis Chat Page for hours and more information.

A Safe Place advocate can assist you in exploring options for reporting on campus and/or in your local community. Contact us at (517) 355-1100 or noabuse@msu.edu to connect with an advocate.
