Requirements to Volunteer

Complete volunteer application and volunteer interview

Agree to a criminal background check (ICHAT), a federal sex offender registry search, a Michigan sex offender registry search, a MDHHS Clearance, and a MSU conduct check if applicable.

Complete 40-hour Sexual Assault Crisis Intervention (SACI) Advocate training

Attend weekly SACI volunteer meetings on Mondays at 6pm

Attend required weekly shifts.

One year commitment

If you are a survivor of sexual assault, we ask that one year has elapsed since receiving services from the MSU Center for Survivors before applying to volunteer with our program.
