Safe Place also has a number of endowments that support the program.  Contributions to any of the endowments can be made at: givingto.msu.edu/gift.
The MSU Safe Place Endowment was established in 1997 to ensure the personal safety, welfare and dignity of those who experience domestic violence within the Michigan State University Community while increasing community awareness about domestic violence, in the hopes of improving prevention efforts and community responsiveness to this issue.
Created in honor of Maureen D. Gladstone, the Gladstone Endowment for MSU Safe Place supports the mission and goal of MSU Safe Place to enhance the personal safety and welfare and dignity of those who experience domestic violence within the MSU Community.
The Joanne McPherson Endowment for MSU Safe Place to was established to honor Mrs. McPherson, wife of former MSU President Peter McPherson, who worked diligently to establish the first domestic violence program and shelter on a college campus in the United States. This endowment provides much needed resources to support the mission of MSU Safe Place focusing on initiatives and challenges in the area of campus relationship violence.
The Muelder Endowment for MSU Safe Place provides scholarship support to students who have survived domestic violence and whose education has been interrupted or postponed due to domestic violence.
The Sasikala and C. A. Reddy Advocacy Endowment for MSU Safe Place supports the mission and goal of MSU Safe Place to enhance the personal safety and welfare and dignity of those who experience domestic violence within the MSU Community by providing funds for advocacy needs.
The Joanne McPherson and Holly Rosen Endowment for MSU Safe Place to was established by Joanne and Peter McPherson in 2020 to provide needed resources to support the mission of MSU Safe Place and to inspire others to contribute.
